“While plastic coatings must be constantly repaired and replaced, Waterlox gives wood floors a gorgeous, soft look and allows them to age beautifully,” said Steve Welch, owner of Woodwright Hardwood Floor Co. Inc. of Dallas, Texas.
Woodwright opened for business in 1985 with the goal of creating wood floors that mature handsomely. Once Steve tried Waterlox, he knew he found a finish that would allow his floors to age gracefully.
“At first, we were skeptical about using Waterlox,” Steve said. “But after we used it on a residential job and saw how durable and easy to maintain the finish was, we began to use it on a number of projects.”
Woodwright uses Waterlox to help craft floors they consider to be a reflection of their clients’ success, which has earned the company recognition of its own. It was awarded a 2009 Floor of the Year award from the National Wood Flooring Association, recognizing the 7,000-square-foot walnut floor Welch and his team installed in the lobby of a corporate headquarters in Dallas.
Despite the awards and accolades his business has received over the years, Steve says his favorite kind of acknowledgement is the feedback he receives from joyful customers when they discover how easy it is to maintain their floors with Waterlox.
“Because Waterlox is renewable, customers are able to buff their floors with it quickly and easily.”
